Listening back to this one - so much to relate to in here, I think my brain works in a very similar way, just weird we donโt talk about those kind of things more.
Been looking forward to finding time to listen to this episode and finally managed to do so today. Great episode, definitely up there with my favourite listens on the podcast. Thanks Matt ๐
The voice in my head has saved me sooo many times! Always reminding me of mundane things not to my coffee cup in precarious locations, but to put my keys in my bag so I can find them, to get petrol, all which save me time and sanity. I truly believe that sensible little voice has saved my life.
I prefer the term โchild-freeโ to โchild-lessโ; a small but important difference in wording reframes it as a choice rather than something to be suffered.
Not having kids by choice really pushes some peopleโs buttons. When Iโm asked why I donโt have any I struggle with giving the real answers (there are many) for fear of sounding like a self righteous prick.
Another excellent episode. I'm fascinated listening to people describe how they learn or what their inner monologue is like. Love the risk v reward and serendipity themes too.

Yeah, fair. It is a weirdly contentious subject on so many levels
